There’s nothing quite like early morning light in Boise. That soft golden glow, the quiet before the city wakes up — it’s pure magic. And it made the perfect setting for one of my favorite recent sessions at Katheryne Albertson Park, right in the heart of Boise.
I had the joy of photographing my cousins — Jessica, John, and their two beautiful girls, Caydence and Claire — during a golden hour session that felt more like a celebration than a photoshoot. As a family photographer, these are the moments I live for: real connection, laughter, and those little in-between interactions that say everything about a family’s bond.
Jessica and I grew up together, so capturing her now as a mom is such a full-circle moment for me. Her girls were full of joy and wonder, and watching her and her husband just be together — laughing, holding hands, chasing their girls — was truly heartwarming. And yes, we all need to be a little jealous of Jessica’s hair. It’s long, thick, completely natural, and it basically glows in sunlight!
