Some sessions are extra close to the heart — and this one was extra special. I had the honor of photographing my dear friend and Birthday Buddy, Kim, as she celebrated her 60th birthday. 🎉
Kim has a beautiful spirit that just shines through everything she does, and getting to document this milestone for her was such a joy. We laughed, we shared memories, and we soaked up every moment of the day. It was more than a photo session — it felt like a celebration of life, friendship, and all the chapters that brought us to this moment.
To make it even sweeter, Kim and I share a birthday, which made the entire day feel like a shared celebration. Photographing someone you know and love adds an extra layer of connection — and every image we captured feels like a little time capsule of this special season in her life.
✨ 60 Years of Kim – and a Peek Back at 1964
Since we’re celebrating 60 amazing years, I thought it’d be fun to look back at what life looked like in 1964 — the year Kim made her grand entrance into the world:
🍼 The average cost of a gallon of gas was just 31 cents.
📻 The Beatles were everywhere — "Help!" and "Yesterday" were topping the charts.
🧊 The first commercial compact disc technology was still over a decade away — people were dancing to records and tapes.
📺 TV shows like I Dream of Jeannie and The Sound of Music were capturing hearts.
👶 The baby boomer generation was in full swing — and some of the most vibrant, resilient women (like Kim!) were born.
During our session, Kim radiated elegance, joy, and a playful energy that proves age is just a number. Whether she was laughing with loved ones, striking a pose with confidence, or just soaking in the love around her, every moment felt authentic and full of life.
Kim, thank you for trusting me to capture such a beautiful milestone. Here’s to 60 years of love, wisdom, and wild stories — and to all the amazing adventures still ahead. 🎂💫
